AERC hosts Honorary Fellow Professor Siv M. Gamlem

The Assessment & Evaluation Research Centre (AERC) in the Faculty of Education at the University of Melbourne recently hosted Honorary Fellow Professor Siv M. Gamlem for a three-week research visit from late February to mid-March.

Professor Gamlem is Chair of the Learning and Assessment Research Group at Volda University College in Norway and Professor in the Faculty of Humanities and Teacher Education, Institute of Pedagogy. Her research focuses on assessment, feedback, learning processes, artificial intelligence in education (AIEd), professional development, and teacher education.

During her visit to AERC, Professor Gamlem engaged with researchers and staff across the centre and the Faculty of Education, sharing insights from her work and discussing emerging directions in assessment research and the role of artificial intelligence in education. The visit provided valuable opportunities for scholarly exchange and helped strengthen AERC’s international research collaborations.

AERC was delighted to host Professor Gamlem and looks forward to continued collaboration.
