Stop 1
So, what is Stop 1, well it’s your 1 Stop student services shop. See what we did there? Clever huh? It’s your virtual and physical location to go when you don’t know where to go. The hub of all things student, the centre of University knowledge and well, you get the idea.

LMS Access
Think of the LMS as social media for your subject. See announcements, learn about assessments, check your subject guide, catch up on lecture notes and most importantly, submit assignments. You must complete all compliance modules before Friday 3 March.

Working with Children Check (WWCC)
All Master of Teaching candidates need to complete the following before Friday 3 March (the end of Week One)

Placement Experience Prep
If your course includes a placement experience, don’t forget to upload your details and preference to Sonia before Friday 3 March.

My.Unimelb Account
Your mecca of all things UniMelb. Update your personal details, check your uni email account, look at your fees, apply for a leave of absence, even check your enrolment. What can’t this thing do! Available as an app too.

Handbook
The handbook is the best place to go to see what subjects you need to enrol in for your course.

Key dates
With so much going on, it’s good to get an overview of the important dates during the semester, like census dates, exams and of public holidays. And because diaries were so last century.

Not just for people commencing their course. There are plenty of opportunities for students throughout the duration of their course to be awarded scholarships. So, don’t count yourself out. Check out the extensive list on offer.

Anyone studying the Master of Teaching needs to complete the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education Students (LANTITE) within 12 months of course commencement. Register for the next test window

Special consideration
We all know that out of the blue, life can throw some crazy things at us. Sometimes they’re good, sometimes not so good. That’s where special consideration comes in. When there are circumstances beyond your control, like illness or the loss of a loved one, special consideration is here to help.

Applying for extensions
So, it’s getting to that time when you need to submit your first assignment. Most likely, you will need to submit it through LMS, but what if all of a sudden, something unforeseen happens? No problem, you can apply for an extension directly with the faculty (up to 10 business days). If you need more than 10 business days, you’ll need to apply for special consideration.

Health Services

Student Equity and Disability Support (SEDS)
Study is tough work, especially a post graduate course. If you need ongoing assistance or longer-term support, talk to the team at SEDS.

Attendance hurdle
Most education coursework subjects require up to 80% attendance for all the semester. Make sure you turn up and tune in for classes.

Looking for life outside UoM, check out Meetups Melbourne. A great way to meet people, experience Melbourne and do something challenging or completely outrageous (within reason of course).

Safer Communities
The University of Melbourne campus should be where you can consider a safe place. If something or someone has made you feel uncomfortable or even worse, report this behaviour because it’s not tolerated. Even if you just want an escort across campus, contact Safer Communities.

Managing money can be a challenge, especially with competing demands like fees and basic living expenses. But it doesn’t all have to be bad. Our Financial Services team can give you advice and maybe even a loan because, you know, adulting is hard.
