On Wednesday 27 July (on-campus) and Thursday 28 July (online), the Melbourne Graduate School of Education will host its annual Careers in Teaching Expo. Join us on campus in room Q122 – Q125, level 1, Kwong Lee Dow (Building 263).
The Careers in Teaching Expo is an opportunity for teacher candidates to engage with industry experts, State Government recruiters, and schools from around Australia.
You’ll have access to information about the education industry, and the current job market and receive tips and tricks from the various presenters. This will help you decide where you want to teach, and how to get ahead in applying for positions. You’ll make connections and engage with future colleagues and industry professionals.
Join the free seminar in Room Q101/102 from 12.30 pm - 1.30 pm hosted by the UoM Central Careers team as they share top tips for putting together strong teaching applications, covering:
- Structuring and tailoring your resume and cover letter
- Responding to key selection criteria including interpreting the criteria statement
- Some principles in preparing for and responding to interview questions
For further information, please contact the team at MGSE-experience@unimelb.edu.au
Note: While this expo is mainly targeted at our Master of Teaching students, all MGSE students interested in a career in teaching are welcome to attend.

Join us on campus where you will have the opportunity to meet, network, and engage directly with education providers, recruiters, and schools. This is your chance to learn more about the sector and type of school you want to work in and make a positive first impression.
