Philosophical Briefs
Concepts are central to any research project. The specific meaning of any particular concept is attributable to a conceptual framework, often derived from the writings of a philosopher or theorist, or from a broader discourse taking the form of an “-ism.”
In the events comprising this Philosophical Briefs Series, authors will introduce a concept and aspects of the associated conceptual framework, likely situated in the work of a philosopher/s and/or a discourse/s. This will be achieved via a 2000 word (maximum) written piece that draws this concept into conversation with education, thereby emphasizing the notion of educational philosophy.
It will be presumed that the written piece, the philosophical brief, has been read in advance of the event by those joining the discussion.
These events will be promoted primarily via the Research Hub members.
