Assessment Curriculum and Technology Research Centre (ACTRC)

Project Details

A partnership between the University of Melbourne and the University of the Philippines supported by the Australian Government

The Assessment Curriculum and Technology Research Centre (ACTRC) is a research partnership between the University of Philippines and the Assessment Evaluation Research Centre (AERC) at the University of Melbourne, established in 2013 with support from the Australian aid program.

ACTRC undertakes empirical research and provides policy advice to the Department of Education (DepEd) and other Philippine education actors, to inform reforms in the areas of assessment, curriculum and technology. It plays a proactive role in identifying trends and pressures on the Philippine education system. In order to inform policy and practice, the Centre works closely with DepEd and other stakeholders to design and implement research and identify and test innovations to inform policy and practice. ACTRC brings together empirical research in the Philippines with evidence and insights from global practice.
