Abstract: Ongoing research and evaluation plans are an important component to securing future funding opportunities for Indigenous education projects. It is critical, however, to carefully consider the priorities of the research and evaluation design, such as: who are the intended audience(s); what are the outcomes under consideration and how well do they align with Community needs and interests; which methodological approaches are most appropriate for the project and how do these approaches align with (or change) existing research questions. Highlighting her recent work with the Culturally Nourishing Schooling (CNS) project in New South Wales (NSW), Keiko will discuss research an evaluation design in Indigenous education projects. Spanning both quantitative and qualitative studies, the talk will present insights to how key considerations that prioritise Indigenous Voices enhance project findings and recommendations.
