Early Childhood Educators’ Wellbeing and Views on Mathematics

The aim of our research is to better understand the professional wellbeing, and mathematics feelings, attitudes, beliefs and practices of early childhood educators in Australia. We are interested in the professional role in early childhood, feelings about maths and views on supporting children’s maths (i.e., children’s understandings about numbers, patterns, measurement, time, spatial awareness, chance and data, as well as mathematical thinking, reasoning and counting.) This will help us learn about the ways early childhood educators facilitate children’s mathematical development and the kinds of support they need.
