A scoping review of theories of change in Australian early childhood education research

Theories of change (TOCs) provide a precise, data-informed explanation of the causal pathway towards sustained change and improvement and explain how interventions work, to what extent and for whom. This project involves a scoping review of Australian professional learning and quality improvement programs in the ECEC sector between 2007 and 2023, with analysis of causal pathways to impact and change (beyond metrics of participant satisfaction, implementation fidelity, or efficacy).

This project received Faculty of Education SEED Funding in 2023.
