Jack Keating Memorial Lectures
Jack Keating Memorial Lectures commemorate Professor Keating's life and significant contributions to education.
How can leaders ensure better teaching in their schools?
Good teaching is not enough to improve student outcomes without sound school leadership argues former Department of Education executive and founding director of Zbar Consulting, Vic Zbar.
Drawing on contemporary education research and extensive experience working on school improvement, Vic Zbar presents a theory of action on how school improvement typically unfolds, its progressional stages, and key strategies to make it happen.
Using examples of successful approaches this lecture will explore the crucial role of leadership in sustaining change, and the practical approaches that enable good teaching to make a school-wide difference.
