2024 Awards
The Faculty of Education congratulates all student and alumni award recipients whose outstanding achievements and efforts were acknowledged at the Student Awards ceremony on Thursday 30th May.
This year we presented 111 awards and scholarships to 84 individual recipients. The ceremony highlighted the remarkable accomplishments of award recipients, their exceptional academic results and commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and the field of education more broadly.
We were honoured that Emeritus Professor Kwong Lee Dow delivered a special address, reminding award recipients to take time to reflect on what this recognition truly means.
We were also privileged to listen to a beautiful, original piece of music written especially for the occasion by current student, Bianca (Bee) Montagner (Master of Teaching (Secondary) Music and Drama Learning Areas), as well as hearing from the Alumni Early-Career Award recipient, Kirsten Pannekoek, who told us more about the Cooking Club initiative at Richmond High School that led to her award.
We would like to acknowledge our donors and sponsors whose generosity has enabled these accolades, and to the representatives who attended the ceremony to present the awards.
