Strengthening collaborative ties between Thai Nguyen University and Melbourne Metrics

Melbourne Metrics was pleased to extend a warm welcome to distinguished delegations from both the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee and Thai Nguyen University, Vietnam, to the University of Melbourne on October 11, 2023.

Leading this significant visit was Secretary Nguyen Thanh Hai of the Provincial Party Committee. Thai Nguyen University, located in Thai Nguyen province, Vietnam, has been actively engaged in a wide spectrum of collaborative initiatives in the field of education and training, particularly in partnership with Australian institutions.

One exciting development is the signing of a Memoranda of Understanding between Melbourne Metrics at the University of Melbourne and Thai Nguyen University, affirming their mutual commitment to strengthen ties. The collaboration opens up a multitude of cooperative opportunities, including building educational measurement and assessment practice capabilities.

With this momoranda as a foundation, Thai Nguyen University is gearing up to implement a range of assessment and evaluation tools and professional training programs. Additionally, Thai Nguyen University will work closely with the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam to introduce a series of initiatives focused on enhancing the capabilities of foreign language teachers.

Secretary Nguyen Thanh Hai shared a visionary outlook, underscoring the pivotal importance of effectively developing and implementing the jointly agreed-upon initiatives between Melbourne Metrics (University of Melbourne) and Thai Nguyen University.
