Wellbeing Education and Training

We design, deliver, evaluate and investigate evidence-based wellbeing programs - as well as provide training and professional development for students, educators and leaders.

Enhancing wellbeing is a shared objective for healthcare providers, governments, schools, workplaces, parents, and individuals. Wellbeing programs are now easily accessible, offering online and self-guided options, thanks to modern technology and increased attention to wellbeing education. However, there is a need for a more robust evidence base and better understanding of factors like engagement, fitting programs to diverse contexts, incorporating digital tools, adopting effective teaching methods, and making evidence-based decisions in the development and delivery of wellbeing education and training.

The main aim of the Wellbeing Education and Training Research Stream is to enhance wellbeing. Our goal is to improve the effectiveness of wellbeing education and training in various settings, formal and informal. This involves studying how curriculum and teaching methods can either support or hinder wellbeing. Additionally, we focus on finding optimal ways to involve individuals and groups in wellbeing education and training to enhance participation, engagement, motivation, and alignment with personal needs and activities.
