Creative Learning Units - Education
CLU-Es offer educators the means to address
who people are, evoking who they aspire to be-in-the-world
as central to the planning and conduct of teaching and learning.

Being-Doing-Knowing
Education is never just about knowledge and skills, it always encompasses who people are and aspire to be-in-the-world - which is why CLU-Es emphasise "being" in conjunction with doing and knowing. CLU-Es are "ways of being-doing-knowing"
BEING
WHO am I? Who are we? - the shared "heart" - the motivation, the aspiration to be this person-in-the-world, as the basis for the purpose and meaning of the endeavour
DOING
HOW do I? How do we? - the shared "hands" - the practices of being this person-in-the-world, undertaking this endeavour in its purpose and meaning
KNOWING
WHAT know I? What should I know? What should we know? - the shared "head" - the knowledge/skill of the practices of being this person-in-the-world, undertaking this endeavour in its purpose and meaning
What are CLU-Es?
Creative Learning Units provide a new framework to help teachers design engaging units that emphasise achievement of learning outcomes. Dr John Quay, a teacher and teacher educator, provides an introduction to CLU-Es in the following videos.
