3a Coach coaching
3a Coaches are provided dedicated support to assist them to effectively coach 3a practitioners in their organisation to plan for and implement enriched caregiving strategies, conversational reading strategies and Learning Games with fidelity into their educational programs following training.

Gain contemporary skills and knowledge in coaching 3a Practitioners in your organisation to plan for and implement of 3a teaching strategies with fidelity
Research has shown that the positive impact of early childhood education lies in the nature, quality and consistency of interactions between educators, and/or carers, and children.
The Abecedarian Approach Australia (3a) is a set of practical, evidence-based teaching strategies that enhance the quality of interactions with young children and support child development and learning. It is proven to have a positive impact on child, educator and family outcomes, with lasting change in children’s lives both before and after they start school.
Research has further shown that children’s learning is advanced when the 3a teaching strategies are implemented frequently and with fidelity. In turn, effective implementation of 3a strategies is enhanced when educators are supported by regular coaching. Coaches, in turn, build confidence, knowledge and skills to support colleagues’ implementation of evidence-informed strategies when they are offered specialist support.
These coaching sessions are for certified 3a Coaches supporting educators in their organisation to effectively implement the 3a strategies into their educational programs so to advance young children’s learning outcomes
The coaching sessions will support 3a coaches to effectively:
- Strengthen 3a Practitioners’ confidence and skills to implement 3a teaching strategies as intended (with fidelity)
- To observe and provide feedback to 3a Practitioners on the mastery and fidelity of implementation of 3a teaching strategies
- Support 3a Practitioners to reflect on their 3a practice and to set goals for 3a implementation
- Support 3a Practitioners to plan and embed the 3a teaching strategies into educational programs plans through
- Embed the 3a strategies in learning plans for individual children
- Support 3a Practitioners to plan and embed 3a strategies with families and carers to use in the home learning environment
Track and monitor the mastery and fidelity of implementation of 3a strategies through record keeping
