Kerry Landman Scholarship

Do you have a background in Mathematics and plan to enrol in the Master of Teaching (Secondary) for 2024?

The Kerry Landman Scholarship supports high-achieving mathematics graduates that demonstrate a passion for education and wish to train as mathematics teachers. The scholarship is valued at up to $60,000 in total and students with a mathematics major who are applying for the Master of Teaching (Secondary) at the Faculty of Education (previously Melbourne Graduate School of Education) are encouraged to apply.

The scholarship aims to address the shortage of mathematically trained teachers who can passionately communicate the beauty and applications of mathematics to encourage, inspire and empower students to succeed. A successful candidate will have the potential to become a leader in mathematics education.

The scholarship will open for applications on 1 October and close 7 December, 2023 for course commencement in 2024.

Key eligibility

Consider applying for this scholarship if you:

  • have a recent (5 years or less) undergraduate degree (or higher qualification) with a major in mathematics
  • are enrolled or applying for the 2024 intake of the Master of Teaching (Secondary) with a Mathematics Learning Area at the Faculty of Education (previously Melbourne Graduate School of Education)
  • are an Australian citizen or permanent resident
