Education Student Advisory Committee
What is EdSAC?
The Faculty of Education Student Advisory Committee (EdSAC) enables student voice in the governance and operations of the Faculty. The Committee ensures that students are engaged in shaping the Faculty's ongoing strategic priorities and provides feedback and direction on matters of student experience to the Faculty Executive. EdSAC also pilots initiatives and events to enhance the student experience.
By participating in EdSAC, students gain experiential learning opportunities through involvement in decision-making processes, strategic planning, and event coordination. These experiences develop transferable skills such as leadership, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, which are highly valued by employers. Students also build confidence in professional settings, learn to navigate organisational structures, and strengthen their ability to advocate effectively—skills that enhance employability and can help prepare graduates for roles in education, policy, and community engagement.
