Secretariat of the Pacific Board for Educational Assessment
Project Details
A review is being conducted to inform the future role of SPBEA in regional educational assessment in the Pacific. The focus of the review is to identify areas of priority for enhancing educational quality; recommending the core functions of SPBEA; and guide how SPBEA should be structured and resourced to undertake that role.
The review includes the following:
- Core functions and assessment areas the Secretariat should focus on
- Review of the AusAID funded Pacific Register of Qualifications and Standards project with regards to its future as well as its future focus
- Mechanisms to be developed to ensure educational assessment needs of members at a technical level
Prof Patrick Griffin is chairing the review; the review team comprises members representing the Peacebuilding, Education and Advocacy Programme from Tonga and Tuvalu, AusAID, the New Zealand Aid Programme, the Secretariat of the Pacific Community and Papua New Guinea (which is currently a non-member of SPBEA).
