Social and Emotional Learning in the Boarding Residence

A/Prof.

Prof. Helen Cahill

Project Details

A version of the Building Resilience Social and Emotional Learning program developed by Helen Cahill and colleagues was refined and evolved for use in a small pilot project in the Boarding Residence setting of a Northern Territory school. Implementing care staff and teachers were provided with a two-day training to assist them to use the program. Early data indicates that the students had a positive response and developed greater peer connectedness in the residency setting.
