Education Benalla Program Evaluation
Project Details
The Education Benalla Program (EBP) is a whole-of-community initiative that aims to reduce disadvantage in the Benalla district of Victoria. A two phase intervention, the project seeks to tackle high rates of early school leaving and educational disengagement, focusing on the key areas of school readiness, student well-being and transition to tertiary education. The YRC was contracted to evaluate Phase 1 of the project, develop an evaluation framework and then examine and analyse the subprogram roll-out and evolution over the first 5 years of the EBP. In addition to annual reports to the Foundation, findings from the program are reported in The Education Benalla Program: A case study of place-based action and collective impact in regional Australia [YRC Research Report 46].
