Associate Professor Larissa McLean Davies appointed Associate Dean (Learning and Teaching)

Associate Professor Larissa McLean Davies has been appointed the new Associate Dean (Learning and Teaching) of the Melbourne Graduate School of Education (MGSE).

The role oversees the strategic direction, development and review of all MGSE coursework programs.

Larissa’s initial one-year term in the position commenced 1 August 2017. Prior to this appointment, Larissa has held other significant leadership roles at the MGSE, including Associate Dean (Teacher Education Research), Deputy Director (Learning and Teaching) and Coordinator for the Master of Teaching (Secondary) program.

Larissa regularly presents on the topics of teacher education and clinical approaches to learning and teaching. She is also lead Chief Investigator of the Australian Research Council funded project Investigating Literary Knowledge in the Making of English Teachers (2016-2019), the first longitudinal national study to bring together the disciplines of Education and Literary Studies.
