In association with Counselling and Psychological Services and various support teams, the Centre for Positive Psychology has coordinated a variety of fun, free events promoting the health and wellbeing of staff and students during exam week.

Free yoga class

Monday 7 November
MindBody Studio, UoM Sports Centre, 103 University Drive, University of Melbourne

A free class in the hatha/flow style, open to beginners to advanced yogis.
This class focuses physical wellbeing by focusing on correct alignment of the body to ensure safety and to get the best benefit from the poses.
Wear comfortable clothes you can move in. Mats provided.

Tips for wellbeing afternoon tea

An opportunity for staff and students to have afternoon tea and pick up tips for wellbeing.

Graduates of the Master of Applied Positive Psychology exhibit some of the innovative ways to apply positive psychology in a real-world, organisational context.

Psychology Week public lecture: Finding ways to thrive

This presentation will challenge you to explore your meaning of thriving and your contribution to creating more positive systems by questioning negatively biased systems. You will be introduced to wellbeing literacy as an alternative to disease discourse and encouraged to explore your own intentions to create the conditions to thrive.

Staff workshop: Enhancing wellbeing and managing stress

Maintaining wellbeing and preventing stress is an ongoing challenge for almost all busy people. With its interactive exercises, this 4-hour workshop is designed to help participants recognise the nature of stress, increase awareness of the impacts of stress, and regularly engage in actions and responses that support a sense of balance and equilibrium.
