Positive Education Schools Association National Conference

Positive Education Schools Association (PESA) is Australia’s national peak, non-for-profit body in the field of Positive Education.

The 4th annual PESA National Conference will feature a keynote by Martin Seligman, Director of the Penn Positive Psychology Center, Zellerbach Family Professor of Psychology in the Penn Department of Psychology, and Director of the Penn Master of Applied Positive Psychology program (MAPP), University of Pennsylvania.

Other international thought leaders within the Education and Wellbeing sectors will also feature including Professor Lea Waters, Director of the Centre for Positive Psychology, Melbourne Graduate School of Education, and Georgie Harmanm, CEO of beyondblue.

Designed as a Positive Education Retreat, the 2018 conference will be hosted at Geelong Grammar School to coincide with their celebration of a decade in Positive Education, and will offer delegates the rare opportunity to stay on-campus. The theme for the 2018 PESA conference will be CONNECT. This theme reflects the event’s aims of connecting theory with application, connecting Positive Education with curriculum and culture, connecting delegates with one another and with Positive Psychology practices to foster collaboration and boost their own individual wellbeing: CONNECT with Positive Education, CONNECT with experts, and CONNECT with each other.
