Centre Director of the Melbourne CSHE

Professor Sophie Arkoudis has been appointed Centre Director of the Melbourne Centre for the Study of Higher Education (CSHE). Sophie will work to advance the research contributions and impact of the Centre within the University and beyond in order to improve the quality of teaching and learning and to support academic career development through the delivery of the CSHE's signature high-quality professional development programmes. Co-leaders of the Social Transformation and Education Academic Group

Professor Marcia McKenzie and Associate Professor Jessica Gerrard have been appointed Co-leaders of the Social Transformation and Education (STE) Academic Group beginning 24 June 2022 for a period of three years. Marcia and Jessica are succeeding Professor Julie McLeod, who has done an outstanding job leading this group over the years. We thank Professor McLeod for her dedication and leadership in this group.

Leader of Language & Literacy Education Academic Group

Dr. Yvette Slaughter has been appointed as Academic Group Lead in Language & Literacy Education (LALE) for a three-year term beginning 20 June 2022. We thank Professor McLean Davies and Associate Professor Russell Cross for their support, dedication, and leadership of the LALE grouping, and we congratulate and wish Yvette every success in her new role.
