Diversity and inclusion: Disability
There are a number of important opportunities for staff to engage in initiatives and events that relate to disability:
Disability Inclusion Action Plan
The University is running consultation sessions to assist in developing the Disability Inclusion Action Plan with staff with lived experience of disability, or who are carers of people with a disability. These are informal lunchtime conversations via Zoom. Click below to register and for more information.

TrainME: Disability Awareness
A new online training module on Disability Awareness is now available to all staff via TrainME.
Alter State
The Melbourne Arts Centre is host to Alter State – a celebration of disability, creativity and culture Nov 9-13.
2021 Narrm Oration
Registration is now open for this year's virtual Narrm Oration, which will be delivered by Professor Papaarangi Reid (University of Auckland) on the theme of Navigating Indigenous Futures. The Oration is scheduled for 18 November 2021 at 5.00pm.
Acting Dean arrangements
Professor Jim Watterston will be on Recharge leave beginning next week, and Professor Janet Clinton and Professor Sandra Milligan will each serve as Acting Dean during this time:
- Monday 15 November – Wednesday 17 November: Professor Janet Clinton
- Thursday 18 November – Friday 19 November: Professor Sandra Milligan
