Staff changes and farewells

Associate Professor Amy Gullickson has been appointed the Director of the Centre for Program Evaluation (CPE) at the Melbourne Graduate School of Education (MGSE).  A/Prof Gullickson commenced the director role in May 2021, following a year of Acting as Co-Director of CPE with Dr Jon Quach. A/Prof Gullickson and Dr Quach took on the Acting Director roles in 2020, when Professor Janet Clinton accepted the role of Deputy Dean of MGSE after 10 years as CPE’s director. Dr Jon Quach has been appointed as the Deputy Director, where he will continue to support CPE’s research and evaluation projects and staff.

Tracy Houston, who has worked at MGSE in alumni relations, and as our development officer in Advancement, will be leaving the University at the end of this week. Tracy nurtured our donor relationships and also volunteered to run our MGSE social clubs and was responsible for some memorable Christmas parties.

Genevieve Jordan, Senior Manager, Academic Services is also leaving the University at the end of the month. Genevieve has managed the Academic Services portfolio with a wide range of responsibilities including marketing, recruitment, placement, and student experience. She has also represented MGSE on various committees and groups across the University. She and her team were key to supporting MGSE academic staff move to online teaching, suspend and re-arrange placements for our students, and continue to recruit and support students in a wholly online environment throughout COVID-19.

  • Manager Essentials (1x1.5hr + 2 x 1hr) 12 and 13 July
    Provides new managers with the fundamentals of managing at the University, strategies, priorities, manager role in the employee lifecycle and information to be successful.
