NAIDOC Week 2021

The 4th of July marked the start of NAIDOC Week, a celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' history, culture, and achievements. This years theme – Heal Country! – calls for all of us to continue to seek greater protections for our lands, our waters, our sacred sites and our cultural heritage from exploitation, desecration, and destruction.

Victims of domestic violence need your old phone

In a domestic violence situation, one of the first items to be broken or taken is the mobile phone - though this is often the only way victims can reach out for help. DV Safe Phone works with charities and safehouses to get unused phones to victims of domestic violence, so they can call for help.

To donate your phone:

  1. Do a factory reset, to erase all data and settings. If you don't know how, visit the DV Safe Phone website for instructions.
  2. Drop it at the Melbourne Connect Superfloor Concierge Desk, Level M, 700 Swanston Street.

Phones are accepted in any condition (including non-smartphones), and chargers are also very welcome.
