Virtual Open Day

Many of our dedicated MGSE staff contributed to supporting and preparing our Open Days this year. There were 12 webinar events for Master of Teaching, Professional and research courses. MGSE received 1200 registrations, 500 attendees joined the live events and asked 400 questions. MGSE also had 40 students and alumni participate on the panel discussions.

All MGSE content showcased over the Open Days is available on the Study page, where it is expected that more people will log on over the next month. There are also some new student story videos available on YouTube, Bite-sized lectures from Matt Harrison and Peggy Kern, and MGSE's course guides to download from the intranet. Please feel free to share this content with friends and family who may be interested.

Thank you to MGSE's academic staff who shared details about our courses and devoted their time to help create content in the lead-up to the event: Daniela Acquaro, Mark Selkrig, Natasha Ziebell, Jeanne Iorio, Martina Tassone, Aaron Jarden, Lisa McKay-Brown, Sharon Klieve, Russell Cross, Yvette Slaughter, Shelley Gillis, Rhonda Di Biase and Kylie Smith.

Behind the scenes MGSE professional staff  faced very different challenges this year and displayed the utmost professionalism and enthusiasm which contributed to a successful virtual event. Thanks to Taylor Eisen, Chantelle Shaw, Patrick Soo, Paul Vassiliadis, Stephen Everett, Georgie Carter-Smith, Stephanie Do Carmo, Lachlan Dunn, Amy Yip, Sandra Pereira, Karl Smith and Zane Kingi.

Even though we could not run Open Day in person this year, we were able to create content and events that hopefully still inspired prospective students to consider MGSE and enabled them to connect with our brilliant and diverse community.
