Introducing the MGSE LMS Support community. This brand new LMS space has an MGSE-specific administrative focus and has been created to:
- Serve as a repository of LMS guides and information available to staff users
- Address commonly asked administrative LMS questions in MGSE
- Provide a ready means of communicating LMS news and updates relevant to MGSE staff
All subject coordinators should already have access to this community – anyone else keen to explore the site and keep abreast of MGSE LMS news, please feel free to self-enrol.

Master of Teaching 2022 Accreditation Process Update
Work has continued over past few weeks as the Master of Teaching Course Coordinators (Mark Selkrig, Natasha Ziebell, Merryn Dawborn-Gundlach, Martina Tassone and Jeanne Marie Iorio) work with the Director of Initial Teacher Education (Daniela Acquaro), the Director of Professional Experience (Richard Sallis) and the Associate Dean Learning & Teaching (John Quay), meeting each week.
As mentioned in Issue 8 of MGSE News, the aim of these regular meetings is to address the many competing elements which must be aligned in the design of a coherent program of the Master of Teaching courses. The output of these meetings will be to draft program and course architectures. These will be presented to staff in a consultation period, where the aim is to share and explain the thinking which is emerging, and to enable input into this thinking.
The course management group hope that this consultation period is not too far off. As you can imagine, all currently involved would like to progress through the current phase to be able to engage with others. The aim is for this to occur in August.
2020 first half year results due next week
Results are due to mgse-results@unimelb.edu.au by 5pm Monday 6 July. Non-standard subject results (e.g. Term 1, Winter) are due within 20 working days of the end of the assessment period. For more information visit the Results Information page on the intranet.

More volunteers required - SecondBite
The free meals initiative in conjunction with the charity SecondBite has been extended until the end of September. That means a lot more free meals for University students, but also a lot more volunteer shifts to fill. Expressions of interest for more volunteers are now open. Volunteers will be required to attend a two-hour shift (once off or weekly) at one of the distribution sites (UniLodge, Lincoln House or 303 Royal Parade) to hand out free, healthy, delicious, frozen meals to students. If you haven't yet volunteered this is a fantastic initiative and a great opportunity to really make a difference to the well-being of students during this difficult time. Visit the University's Health and Wellbeing page for more information. Contact Inoka or Anisha for any enquiries.
