Digital Taskforce Team update
The new digital taskforce is now operational. Every MGSE staff member should have received an invitation in their Canvas Dashboard to join the MGSE Virtual Campus Support Community.
In this Canvas community you will find a range of supports including some suggested online learning strategies to support asynchronous learning, some ‘how-to’ guides for some of the apps and software we are now embracing, and contact details for members of the digital taskforce as well as the sorts of support we are offering.
In the MGSE Virtual Campus Support Community there are also links to essential University sites such as Learning Environments and Canvas Learning Support. The community site is still being built and we are hoping to have a new section about ways you can support online access and inclusion
on the site in the next week.
It has been lovely to work with so many of you over the last month and we are looking forward to continuing to work and learn together as we continue to work at our virtual campus.
- How to keep uninvited guests out of your Zoom event

- Join MGSE Yammer
This week MGSE have launched a new Yammer channel to bring colleagues together to share anything from best working from home tips to what to watch on Netflix. You can opt-in to join by visiting the MGSE Yammer page.
- Learning Environments update
Learning Environments has updated its website with some useful information regarding events. We’ve included an ‘online public events’ section which contains both a self-service guide and also a request form if you would like technical assistance to host your online event.
Use ‘Other’ in the request details section and add some details to the ‘Tell us how we can help’ text box. We’ll get back to you as quickly as we can.
