University of Excellence Awards
The University of Melbourne has a national and international reputation for excellence thanks to a community of highly committed staff. Each year the University celebrates the work of staff at the university through the Melbourne Excellence Awards. These awards recognise the outstanding achievements of academic and professional staff in the key areas of research, teaching, engagement, professional excellence and strategic priorities.
Ideas for Open Day 2018
Your idea might be a workshop, sample lecture or a suggestion of something you have seen work well at other University. Keep in mind that any activity MGSE runs needs to appeal to a broad audience

- Add your idea to this google spreadsheet.
- Please ensure you have submitted all your department’s ideas by 5pm on Friday 25 May 2018.
- The Marketing and Recruitment Team will select the ideas that best think fit the theme of the day.

Appropriate Workplace Behaviour Policy
The Melbourne Graduate School of Education follows the established University Policy (Appropriate Workplace Behaviour Policy MPF1328) in regards to gifts. Please note that University employee giving gifts no longer needs to fill in the online MGSE Gift Register Form. If an employee accepts a gift of nominal value less than $100 and retain that gift for their own use, the employee does not need to report the gift. If an employee receives a reportable gift, the employee must fill in the online MGSE Gift Register Form within 14 days of receiving the gift. If a gift has a value of $500 or more, it needs to be reported to the Chief Financial Officer or delegate. For more information, please refer to MPF1328 Appropriate Workplace Behaviour Policy
Theodore Fink Education Endowment
The Theodore Fink Education Endowment has $10,000 available in 2018 to support a seminar concerned with historical or comparative studies of Australian education. Funds can be used to support speaker travel costs, fees and seminar running costs. Please note that the seminar must be held in Melbourne and be called “The Theodore Fink Memorial Seminar in Australian Education”. Interested academic or professional staff can contact Pian Zhang to obtain the application information sheet and application form. Application closes on Thursday, 30th May.
