Graduate Studies and Teaching
The Centre for Program Evaluation currently offers the only graduate courses in evaluation in Australasia with a range of training programs in evaluation design, including the Graduate Certificate in Evaluation and the Master of Evaluation.
These are professional development programs for those who wish to further their career in program evaluation. Both courses are suitable for local and overseas students from any discipline. The courses are offered both online and on campus.
As one of its primary service roles, CPE also delivers training programs for organisations and industries. Associate Professor Clinton has delivered a number of training programs within the health and education domains.

Academic staff at CPE are available to supervise students wishing to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy or Doctor of Education in evaluation studies

Online
The Graduate Certificate in Evaluation and Master of Evaluation are programs of professional development for students who wish to take a leadership role in program evaluation. Each course aims to enable students to:
- demonstrate knowledge and understanding of evaluation theory and practice;
- develop strong data collection and analysis skills; and importantly
- apply these skills and understandings to a range of professional settings.
Who are these courses designed for?
The Graduate Certificate in Evaluation and Master of Evaluation are suitable for both local and overseas students from any discipline. Students who enrol in these courses include policy makers, program planners, managers, project officers, teachers, performance auditors and consultants. They are employed in a wide-range of settings including public sector organisations, non-government agencies as well as international aid and development.
Subjects
Subjects offered within the Master of Evaluation are also available to students in the Melbourne Graduate School of Education and across the University. This arrangement caters for students who wish to undertake an evaluation subject in conjunction with a graduate qualification in areas such as Educational Administration, Public Policy, Health related studies, Social Work and Development Studies.
