Research-Practice Partnerships

The Assessment Research Centre convenes research-practice partnerships with Australian schools. These partnerships are designed to unite school leadership teams, academic experts, policy-makers and industry to implement innovations that go beyond traditional school improvement projects. Research-practice partnerships harness the expertise of the University, and its international connections, to bring to schools national and global networks of educational policy and practice entrepreneurs.
School partners are supported to develop the contextualised knowledge, know-how, networks and authority required to effectively transform their schools and to influence national and international education policy and progress. Schools have access to University technology to support the co-design and validation of assessments, credentialing and metrics in the area of complex competencies and share in the partnership objective to co-lead the development of new metrics and new ways of recognising learning and schooling success in Australia that reflects what learners and schools value now and in the future.
