Abbey is a lecturer in Health and Physical Education and a clinical teaching specialist at the Melbourne Graduate School of Education. She coordinates a range of HPE subjects in both the primary and secondary courses of the Master of Teaching. Abbey has been a teacher and leader in various Catholic schools since 2000 and joined MGSE in 2018.
Abbey has extensive involvement in teacher professional development including delivery of graduate and leadership programs. She continues to represent panels for the VCAA in relation to curriculum design, assessment and reporting and the implementation of the national curriculum in Health and Physical Education.
Abbey has a strong interest in pedagogy and is undertaking her PhD with a focus on teacher improvement using video reflection.
