Global Childhoods webinar

Children walking to school with backpacks

Professor Nicola Yelland will be drawing on her Global Childhoods Australian Research Council (ARC) project, which explores how policy contexts, school experiences, and the everyday life-worlds of year four students (aged 9 & 10 years old) in Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore shape children’s orientations to educational success.

In this Research in Effective Education in Early Childhood Hub (REEaCh) seminar  Professor Yelland will share some of the findings from a survey of the (627) children in the three global cities and from data generated by the children themselves in the forms of learning dialogs about how they feel about school and what they learn.

Pending COVID-19 restrictions, this seminar will be delivered as both an online webinar and face-to-face event at Melbourne Graduate School of Education. Please email lisa.murray1@unimelb.edu.au if you would like to attend this event in person.
