Graduate Access Melbourne

Graduate Access Melbourne is the University of Melbourne's special entry and access scheme for graduate study. It provides access to applicants whose personal circumstances have had a sustained adverse effect on their academic achievement at undergraduate level or who are members of a specified group known to be underrepresented in higher education.

The Kerry Landman Scholarship supports high-achieving mathematics graduates in financial need who demonstrate a passion for education, wish to train as maths teachers, and are enrolling in the Master of Teaching (Secondary).

The Jennifer Duggan Leaper Scholarship

The Jennifer Duggan Leaper Scholarship supports high achieving students who have completed a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne and have enrolled, or are to be enrolled, in the Master of Teaching, with $10,000 per year for the duration of the course.

Olive Battersby Scholarship

The Olive Battersby Scholarship is awarded annually to a student taking the Master of Teaching. It is awarded on the basis of academic merit and financial need. The recipient will receive approximately $8,000 towards the cost of tuition and other expenses.

Ivanhoe Girls’ Grammar School Award - Primary

The Ivanhoe Girls' Grammar School Award (Primary) is awarded to a student in the Master of Teaching (Primary) who has demonstrated outstanding ability both academically and in the practicum component of the course. They must also be available for a teaching placement at Ivanhoe Girls' Grammar in their final year.

Suzanne and Geoffrey Dawson Scholarship

The scholarship is awarded to a high-achieving student enrolled in the Master of Teaching and pursuing research in the field of education, the outcome of which is likely to enhance the advancement of social justice in educational settings and provide equality of access to improved facilitation of learning, in identified communities. The value of the award is approximately $4000.

Established by the Australian Commonwealth Government, this scholarship is available to high achieving domestic and international students undertaking a Master by research degree or Doctorate by research degree.

Institutions in a high quality adaptive vocational education sector - PhD scholarship

Expressions of interest (EOI) are invited from suitable domestic and international candidates planning to undertake their doctoral studies (PhD) as part of a program of research investigating institutions in a high quality adaptive vocational education sector at the Melbourne Graduate School of Education (MGSE).

Applicants who submitted EOIs in the previous round are not eligible to re-apply in this round.
