Master of Teaching Early Childhood and Early Childhood & Primary
Applications have now closed for the Master of Teaching (Early Childhood) and Master of Teaching (Early Childhood and Primary).
The course start date is 23 February 2018.
Master of Teaching Primary
Round 3 closes: 25 January 2018*
*Please note that we are doing rolling offers and cannot guarantee places will be available until this date.
The course start date is 26 February 2018.
Master of Teaching Secondary
Round 3 closes: 12 January 2018*
*Please note we are doing rolling offers and cannot guarantee places will be available until this date. Also, some some learning areas may have reached capacity.
The course start date is 1 February 2018.
Round 1 closed: 31 October 2017
Guaranteed entry applications now close 8 November.
Round 2 closed: 8 December 2017
Please note: there is no Round 3 for International applications.
1. Complete the Teacher Capability Assessment Tool
You must complete the Teacher Capability Assessment Tool (TCAT) prior to applying.
TCAT takes approximately 70 - 90 minutes to complete and contains both long and short answers used to assess your suitability for Melbourne Graduate School of Education courses.
2. Submit your application
Applications for the 2018 Master of Teaching are currently being accepted from domestic and international applicants.
If you are an Australian citizen, permanent resident or New Zealand citizen, please submit your application online using the button below.
If you are an international applicant, please submit your application using the button below or through one of the University's overseas representatives.
Recent University of Melbourne undergraduate students may be eligible for guaranteed entry, which offers the opportunity to secure a place in the Master of Teaching before all other applicants. If you meet the eligibility criteria we will identify you as a guaranteed entry applicant when we assess your application.
You may be required to provide the following supporting documentation:
- Previous academic transcripts
- Evidence of degree completion (testamur)
- Evidence of English language proficiency
- Evidence of completion of the Teacher Capability Assessment Tool (TCAT).
