Ruth Aston is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Program Evaluation. She has several years of experience in research project evaluation. Ruth has project managed several large-scale evaluations across Australia and internationally including the evaluation of the Australian Professional Teaching Standards.
Ruth was awarded the Emerging Talent Award in 2014 by the Australasian Evaluation Society for her contribution to evaluation. Ruth also has a background in public health, her work at the University of Auckland, New Zealand involved working primarily on a three-year national project investigating the workforce effectiveness of health promotion workers in New Zealand.
Ruth has commenced her PhD studies, and is investigating the ways that social change is achieved in Public Health. She is conducting a meta-analysis to define and measure the factors that relate to the effectiveness of interventions taking action on the social determinants of health. She also has a strong interest in interdisciplinary and cross-cultural research.
