Dr Kelly Allen wins 2016 APS Award for Excellent PhD Thesis in Psychology

Congratulations to Dr Kelly Allen who has been awarded the Australian Psychological Society (APS) Award for Excellent PhD Thesis in Psychology for 2016.

Her thesis, In Pursuit of Belonging: A socio-ecological perspective of school belonging in secondary school settings, was supervised by Professor Lea Waters and Associate Professor Dianne Vella-Brodrick, and chaired by Dr Vicki McKenzie.

Dr Allen said it is an incredible honour to receive this award, which recognises outstanding research in psychology.

“To receive an award from the Australian Psychological Society, which I have long admired for supporting psychological research and advancing the profession of psychology, is an incredible privilege. I am tremendously thrilled.”
