Symposium: Gifted education

The provision of effective gifted education needs to be informed by contemporary research on how the gifted and talented students know, think and learn. MGSE has an active research program that examines aspects of this and its focus is informed by international trends and aims to contribute to these. This symposium will examine  research currently being conducted in the Graduate School relevant to this topic.

Topics and presenters:

  • Mr Joe Santoro: The use of concept mapping to describe and monitor multiple ways of being a gifted learner
  • Mr David Camilleri: How visually spatially gifted students learn
  • Dr John Munro: Understanding gifted learning disabled students - not easily programmed.
